Explore the Southern Circuit of Tanzania to Mikumi National Park and Selous/Nyerere National Park Safari With 4x 4 Land Cruiser Pop up Roof

Day 1: Dar – es- Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Our driver guide will pick you up from Dar-es-salaam, then drive to Mikumi National Park with a lunch box or short stop for lunch on the way. Arrival in Mikumi, at noon then departs for afternoon game drive to explore Mikumi National Park. The park is one of Tanzania’s larger parks and has excellent bird life as well as being good for viewing predators. Leave the park in the time for sunset then transfer to Vamos Hotel for overnight, on full board.

Day 2: Maasai Culture at Mikumi then drive to Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast and see the traditional of Masai at 0900hrs drive to Selous Game Reserve, it take 7 to 8 hours. You will have picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take about 7hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania. Meals and overnight will be at Ngalawa camp.

Day 3: Selous Game drive and Boat Safari

The day will be spent on game viewing in the Game Reserve and at evening you will make a boat safari. The safari guide points out rare species of animals like the Wild Dogs. Sable antelopes, black rhinoceros, Nile Crocodile, hippopotamus along the banks of the Rufiji river, Cape buffalo, hartebeest and Eland. Picnic lunch and drinks will be served in the wilderness before heading back to camp for dinner and overnight to the gentle grunting of the Camp. Boat Safaris are also the best excursions for bird enthusiasts. The Selous has over 350 bird species, and the river is the place where they congregate in great numbers and are easily seen in the open environment. Dinner and overnight at Ngalawa Camp.

Day 4: Walking Safari at Selous and Drive back to Dar es Salaam

Early Morning breakfast at the camp and start a sunrise bush walking. Walking safaris are a fantastic way to get close to nature and learn more about the smaller species and the bush itself. It’s an unforgettable experience to walk within such a vast and untamed area of natural reserve. The walks take about 2-3 hours long. Usually walks leave camp at 6:00AM-6:30 AM after having a cup of tea and some homemade biscuits or doughnut. After walking back to the camp for breakfast and start your way to Dar es Salaam.
