Mikumi National Park is the fourth largest of Parks in Tanzania. The scenery of Mikumi is frequently likened to that of the Serengeti.
Location: Southern Tanzania.
What to see: wildebeest, antelopes, impala, giraffe, warthog, eland and other antelopes, etc.
Why Mikumi National Park?
Few hours’ drive from Dar es salam, Mikumi is rich with variety of bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants and close to the water holes also lions, leopards and hippos. Furthermore you can see zebras, lions, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest and wildebeest. Elephants, impala, warthog, eland and other antelopes. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety. The National Park is mostly miombo woodland with gently rolling hills.
