Ruaha National Park takes its name from the Great Ruaha River, which runs along its southeastern edge and serves as a prime location for observing wildlife.

Accessing the park is convenient by car via a dirt road from Iringa. Additionally, there are two airstrips available: Msembe Airstrip, located at the park headquarters in Msembe, and Jongomeru Airstrip, situated close to the Jongomeru Ranger Post.

Location: Southern Tanzania.
What to see: Roan antelopes, waterbucks, lions, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, zebra and huge species of Bird etc.

Why Ruaha National Park?

This  Ruaha Park is the largest national park of all parks in Tanzania. Moreover its Miombo woodland extends all the way to Mozambique. The park has lots of baobab trees, Ambrella acacia, and African sausage trees. Ruaha River is one of the largest rivers in Tanzania and accommodates the largest number of animals in Tanzania’s southern circuit. Its wildlife includes kudus, Sable antelopes, Roan antelopes, wild dogs, waterbucks, bush bucks, lions, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, and giraffes. Furthermore Ruaha Park has over 450 species of birds.
